What to bring: A positive attitude and a notebook if desired!
During this 4-hour in-person beginner knitting course, you’ll learn how to knit a swatch, and why it is important for your future knitting projects.
Knitting a swatch incorporates various techniques such as knit and purl stitches, casting on and binding off, and how to measure your gauge. All of these are vitally important skills for beginning knitting. The goal is to have each person leave with a completed swatch, or feeling confident enough to continue practicing on their own, given all of the tools necessary to do so.
What is included:
- All attendees will receive one free drink at Gold Lion to enjoy during class.
- Registration costs cover all materials needed for making a swatch, and are yours to keep! (This includes, yarn and knitting needles.)
- Each attendee will also receive links to instructional videos, based on everything learned during class (links will be given in class).
Additional materials will be available for purchase if you’re interested in furthering your practice beyond provided materials.
